RIDICULOUS!

To say the earth is no more than 10000 years old because the Bible says so and that each creation day is equal to 1000 years is ludicrous in today's age! The Bible itself states that the first day consisted of light and darkness (which equals day and night, which equals 24 hours that the earth revolves around its own axis!) (ED. THE ALABASTER BOX CREATION EVANGELISM HOME PAGE STATES "II. This ministry teaches that the Lord Creator [Christ] created the universe from nothing but the energy of His word in six literal days, approximately 6000 to 8000 years ago, as Scripture and science make clear.") The other problem with the very first day is that we all know our light comes from the sun--which God didn't create until the fourth day! The rest a the Bible is based on mythology, loose history, and folktale stories! (ED. INFIDELS AND UNBELIEVERS HAVE BEEN CLAIMING THIS FOR CENTURIES, BUT IT HASN'T BEEN ESTABLISHED AS FACT TO THIS DAY.) You don't know when your God/Jesus was born, you don't really know when he died, and the majority of his life can't even be explained by the Bible. (MAYBE SO, BUT I KNOW HE WAS BORN AND DIED, AND WHY!) And if that isn't enough all four Gospels not only contradict one another (ED. REWARD OF $1000 FOR ONE CONTRADICTION.) but the earliest (Mark) was written between 40 and 70 years after Jesus died! (ED. SO WHAT? AND SINCE YOU KNOW WHEN JESUS DIED, WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME SO I'LL KNOW? HOW DID YOU FIND OUT WHEN HE DIED?) Luke was written almost 120 years after! (Ditto!) And they all had access to the previous Gospel. (THEY ALSO HAD ACCESS TO THE STILL SMALL VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.) The only thing you fundamentalists are doing or trying to accomplish is to bring everyone back into the dark ages--which seem to be your favorite period in life, (ED. IF WE DON'T LIVE IN THE DARK AGES TODAY, WHAT CAN YOU CALL IT? THE MOST ENLIGHTENED PEOPLE ON EARTH ARE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THE BIBLE AND ITS AUTHOR.) when the church controlled everything and science was considered a sin against the church! (ED. PLEASE NOTE WHAT CHURCH CONTROLLED EVERYTHING. IT SURE WASN'T FUNDMENTAL.)

You people constantly amaze me in your doctrine! (NOT SURPRISING - READ I CORINTHIANS 2:14, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.") By the way, how does one attain a doctoral degree in faith... ? (ED. WELL, THE TRUTH IS, I DON'T KNOW. I NEVER MET ANYONE WHO HAD ONE.) eg

Ed. In addition to our comments above, we also would like to know how this individual thinks he is justified in judging the Bible. He seems to admit that the first few verses of Genesis are true, but then he throws the rest of Scripture in the dumpster of mythology. On what authority other than his own very questionable education and experience can one separate Scripture into truth and mythology? Jesus Christ is not only the fundamentalists' God as this writer asserts, He is the Lord of creation, and the Redeemer of mankind.
