The best way to find homes for needy pets is to contact your local humane society or to place an ad in your local paper. Many areas have no-kill shelters or foster homes for emergency situations. Of course, the best of all situations would be if you were able to keep the pet safe until it found a good home.

Please be careful! Screen potential owners carefully, you have the right, as the owner, to ask certain questions, such as if the new home has small children, a fenced in yard, etc. When we place a pet, we always tell the new owners that if there is ever a problem, they can return it to us; this prevents the animal from going back to animal control or worse.
